Tom Hubbard Fine Jewellery

FAQ

Choosing a piece of jewellery should feel personal and straightforward. Here are a few answers to help you get started. If there is anything else you would like to know, please ask Tom.

How do I enquire about a piece?

Use “Enquire about this piece” on the product page. The form will include the piece you are interested in, so you can simply add your question. You can also email tom@thfinejewellery.com or call +44 (0)7717 664930.

What does “price on request” mean?

Please contact Tom for the current price of that piece. He can also discuss its gemstones, metal, sizing and any changes you have in mind. An enquiry is a conversation, not an order.

Is every piece shown available immediately?

Please ask Tom to confirm current availability before making plans. The collection is a starting point for choosing a piece or discussing a bespoke variation; a photograph alone does not confirm stock or a delivery date.

Can I commission bespoke jewellery?

Yes. Tom works with clients on personal commissions, from initial ideas and gemstone selection through design and making in London. You do not need a finished design before getting in touch. Explore the bespoke process.

How much does bespoke jewellery cost?

Each commission is quoted individually. Gemstone choice, size and quality, metal and the work involved in the setting affect the price. Sharing your budget helps Tom discuss suitable options; request the details and quote for your own piece before proceeding. The bespoke jewellery guide explains how to prepare for the first conversation.

Can I choose a coloured gemstone for a bespoke ring?

Yes. Tom can discuss gemstone selection and a setting as part of a personal commission. Start with a colour or a design you like, then ask about the individual stone’s details, any treatments and care requirements. Browse single stone rings, three stone rings or cluster rings for inspiration.

How long does a bespoke commission take?

The time needed depends on the design, gemstone sourcing and work involved. If you have a particular occasion in mind, tell Tom at the beginning so you can discuss a realistic timescale together.

What if I do not know my ring size?

Ask Tom before choosing a size. The width and design of a ring can affect its fit, and an existing ring is only useful if it fits the intended finger. Our ring sizing and gemstone guide explains what information helps.

Can an existing design be adapted?

Contact Tom with the piece you like and the changes you are considering. Gemstone, metal and sizing possibilities depend on the individual design, and he can explain what is practical.

Where is the jewellery made?

Tom designs and makes fine jewellery in London, working with specialist craftspeople on mounting, setting and polishing. Read about Tom and his family background in jewellery.

How are delivery and returns arranged?

Please read the delivery information and returns information, then ask Tom to confirm the arrangements for your piece before ordering. Discuss any deadline or bespoke requirements at the same time.
